Hundspannsåkning – 1,5 timmar
Hundspannsåkning är en fantastisk vinteraktivitet och på Brändön Lodge har vi en närliggande kennel och ett husky-team som tar dig med på ett fantastiskt äventyr.
Kennelägarna har runt 60 vänliga huskies som älskar att springa och färdas genom vårt vackra vinterlandskap. Huskies älskar det kalla vinterklimatet i svenska Lappland och är perfekt anpassade för kyla, is och snö.
Efter en introduktion vid kenneln, en säkerhetsgenomgång och information om den kommande resan, kommer du och en partner att lära er att ta kontroll över husky-teamet och köra dem längs en skogs- och sjöled.
Längs vägen kommer ni att kunna njuta av naturen och spänningen i att köra hundspannet. Vid våra stopp kommer guiden att informera dig om livet som en hundspannsförare i den frusna Norden, om hundarna samt om den fantastiska arktiska naturen runtomkring oss.

We just arrived home from another fabulous stay with Brandon Lodge. They took care of arranging all of the activities so makes the stay very easy. They provide a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere and made to feel at home. Cabins cater for all you need and are very warm! The food is outstanding and you couldn’t fault any of the staff - everyone from our airport transfer to the management and guides all are friendly and knowledgable and nothing is too much trouble.
All outer-wear cold weather clothing is provided too!

Friendly staff, good food, clean cabin, and activities to pick from. We stayed at one of the self-serve cabins. There were two rooms, 4 beds total, a restroom with shower (soaps provided) and hairdryer, a small living area where we could play cards, a kitchenette with dorm size fridge, microwave, a cupboard of glasses and dishes, and a sink. At the lodge we had breakfasts and dinners, all of which were freshly and expertly made by the nicest staff. We took advantage of a couple of activities and were treated like old friends every step of the way.

We have recently returned from an incredible five days staying at Brandon Lodge with our 9 year old twins. I cannot praise this place more! The setting is stunning. The staff go above and beyond to ensure that you are having your best possible experience and the food is amazing! We did dog sledding, snow mobiling, ice fishing and the Sami/Reindeer experience and loved all of them. In between activities the children spent all their time toboggoning next to the lodge. They had their best holiday ever. We all did. We were even lucky enough to see the northern lights. Thank you to all the team. We hope to come back!
