Aurora Hideaway Dinner – 3 hours with dinner

A magical candlelit dinner, out on the frozen Arctic Ocean

1 Dec. 2025 > 30 March 2026

Aurora Hideaway Dinner

Imagine an evening of pure magic, where you are served a unique candlelit dinner on the vast, frozen surface of the Gulf of Bothnia. This special experience begins with an exciting snowmobile sleigh ride directly from your lodge.

Upon arrival at our purpose-built Aurora Hideaway , you are welcomed into a warm and cozy atmosphere. The crackling fire in the fireplace and the soft glow of candles and tea lights create a truly magical and romantic setting. You are offered a drink of your choice – a glass of wine, a cold beer or a steaming hot beverage – while you make yourself at home.

Your dinner begins with a piping hot soup, served to warm you from the inside out. After the first course, you have the option to go outside to look for the mythical Northern Lights or simply enjoy the absolute silence and star-filled sky. Meanwhile, your guide prepares the main course over an open fire outdoors, giving it a unique, smoky flavor.

The relaxed evening ends with a delicious dessert and a hot cup of coffee or tea, before you return to your lodge with new, unforgettable memories.

Our Aurora Hideaways are mobile "restaurants" that we move around with a tracked trailer. This allows us to choose the best possible location each night based on prevailing wind, weather and ice conditions.

We just arrived home from another fabulous stay with Brandon Lodge. They took care of arranging all of the activities so makes the stay very easy. They provide a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere and made to feel at home. Cabins cater for all you need and are very warm! The food is outstanding and you couldn’t fault any of the staff - everyone from our airport transfer to the management and guides all are friendly and knowledgable and nothing is too much trouble.

All outer-wear cold weather clothing is provided too!

If you’re considering booking do not hesitate

Friendly staff, good food, clean cabin, and activities to pick from. We stayed at one of the self-serve cabins. There were two rooms, 4 beds total, a restroom with shower (soaps provided) and hairdryer, a small living area where we could play cards, a kitchenette with dorm size fridge, microwave, a cupboard of glasses and dishes, and a sink. At the lodge we had breakfasts and dinners, all of which were freshly and expertly made by the nicest staff. We took advantage of a couple of activities and were treated like old friends every step of the way.

We have recently returned from an incredible five days staying at Brandon Lodge with our 9 year old twins. I cannot praise this place more! The setting is stunning. The staff go above and beyond to ensure that you are having your best possible experience and the food is amazing! We did dog sledding, snow mobiling, ice fishing and the Sami/Reindeer experience and loved all of them. In between activities the children spent all their time toboggoning next to the lodge. They had their best holiday ever. We all did. We were even lucky enough to see the northern lights. Thank you to all the team. We hope to come back!
