At Brändön Lodge our food begins with the place around us.

Local fishing

The sea has always been a natural part of life on Brändön. Fishing here is still based on what the sea has to offer, with the season and weather being the deciding factor.

One of our finest local ingredients is the baltic herring. During the autumn, the baltic herring is fished in the coastal waters around Luleå and the fish is taken care of and cleaned locally. It is a simple but meticulous craft, where much is about using the raw material in the right way.

We also use other fish from local fisheries, depending on the season. For us, it's about cooking with what is close by, ingredients with a clear connection to the place, the sea and the people who live here.

That's how we want it to taste at Brändö Lodge. Close, simple and with a taste of Norrbotten.

This is food from where the Baltic meets the forest.

Bär från skogen

We have the forest close by, and in the fall there are berries all around Brändön. Blueberries, lingonberries and rowanberries are a natural part of our local produce.

We cook jam, juice and other seasonal berries, so we can bring the taste of the Norrland forest into the kitchen all year round.

Menu in the Brändön Lodge Restaurant

We have a rolling fixed weekly menu in the restaurant during the fall and winter, and we can always offer a vegetarian option.

The menu can include everything from fried char, moose steaks and pizza. Get in touch and we'll tell you what's served when you visit.

If you book an event or conference at Brändön Lodge, we will try to adapt the menu to your wishes.
