Autumn Northern lights boat tour including dinner
In the archipelago off Brändön, autumn becomes a time of stillness and grandeur. Long after the summer boats have docked, we offer an exclusive boat trip that lets you experience the dramatic beauty of the archipelago at its most colorful.
We board the boat at dusk, ready to navigate the calm waters. The red boathouses glow in the last of the daylight while the autumn colors of the forest reflect in the darkening surface.
We dock at an island where we light a warming fire and enjoy a lovely dinner in the middle of nature. The menu is inspired by the pantry of Norrbotten, with local delicacies served under the open sky.
The evening culminates in the magical play of light as darkness falls. If the sky is clear, we have an unbeatable view of the northern horizon – the perfect place to wait for the starry spectacle or, with a little luck, the dance of the Northern Lights.
This is more than just a boat trip; it is a holistic experience that combines the silence of the autumn archipelago with a delicious dinner, relaxation and a chance to catch nature's most spectacular light show.

We just arrived home from another fabulous stay with Brandon Lodge. They took care of arranging all of the activities so makes the stay very easy. They provide a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere and made to feel at home. Cabins cater for all you need and are very warm! The food is outstanding and you couldn’t fault any of the staff - everyone from our airport transfer to the management and guides all are friendly and knowledgable and nothing is too much trouble.
All outer-wear cold weather clothing is provided too!

Friendly staff, good food, clean cabin, and activities to pick from. We stayed at one of the self-serve cabins. There were two rooms, 4 beds total, a restroom with shower (soaps provided) and hairdryer, a small living area where we could play cards, a kitchenette with dorm size fridge, microwave, a cupboard of glasses and dishes, and a sink. At the lodge we had breakfasts and dinners, all of which were freshly and expertly made by the nicest staff. We took advantage of a couple of activities and were treated like old friends every step of the way.

We have recently returned from an incredible five days staying at Brandon Lodge with our 9 year old twins. I cannot praise this place more! The setting is stunning. The staff go above and beyond to ensure that you are having your best possible experience and the food is amazing! We did dog sledding, snow mobiling, ice fishing and the Sami/Reindeer experience and loved all of them. In between activities the children spent all their time toboggoning next to the lodge. They had their best holiday ever. We all did. We were even lucky enough to see the northern lights. Thank you to all the team. We hope to come back!
