Experience the Summer Magic of the Archipelago – Guided Fatbike Tour in Brändön
Leave the asphalt behind and discover the Luleå archipelago in the most playful way possible. With a Fatbike, you can venture where regular bikes simply can’t go. The extra-wide tires provide incredible grip on sandy beaches, soft forest trails, and sun-warmed granite—pure freedom on two wheels!
A Summer Adventure by the Sea
Our guided tour takes you through the unique coastal landscape of Brändön. We wind our way along the shoreline where the pine forest meets the Baltic Sea, enjoying the fresh sea breeze and vast horizon views.
Starting Point: We depart from Brändön Lodge.
Duration: Approx. 3 hours of exploration and nature experiences.
Group Size: To ensure a personal and safe experience, we host groups of 2–4 people per tour.
Summer "Fika" by the Water: We pause at a scenic lookout for a classic Swedish fika. Enjoying coffee and a snack to the sound of the waves is the ultimate summer relaxation.
Price: 1200 SEK / person (includes guide, fatbike, helmet, and fika).
Is this tour for you?
Fatbiking in the summer is stable and fun, but the terrain and duration set some requirements:
Fitness Level: A basic level of fitness is required. You don’t need to be an elite athlete, but you should be comfortable with physical activity for a few hours to fully enjoy the tour and the surroundings.
Age Limit: The terrain is demanding and the bikes are large; therefore, this activity is not suitable for children under 12.
Pro Tip: Bring sunglasses, sunscreen, and a water bottle. We’ll take care of the rest!
Ready for the smoothest ride of the summer? Book your adventure at Brändön Lodge today and experience the archipelago from a whole new perspective.
Booking: Minimum of 2 people required per booking. If you are travelling alone you must still book and pay for 2 people.

We just arrived home from another fabulous stay with Brandon Lodge. They took care of arranging all of the activities so makes the stay very easy. They provide a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere and made to feel at home. Cabins cater for all you need and are very warm! The food is outstanding and you couldn’t fault any of the staff - everyone from our airport transfer to the management and guides all are friendly and knowledgable and nothing is too much trouble.
All outer-wear cold weather clothing is provided too!

Friendly staff, good food, clean cabin, and activities to pick from. We stayed at one of the self-serve cabins. There were two rooms, 4 beds total, a restroom with shower (soaps provided) and hairdryer, a small living area where we could play cards, a kitchenette with dorm size fridge, microwave, a cupboard of glasses and dishes, and a sink. At the lodge we had breakfasts and dinners, all of which were freshly and expertly made by the nicest staff. We took advantage of a couple of activities and were treated like old friends every step of the way.

We have recently returned from an incredible five days staying at Brandon Lodge with our 9 year old twins. I cannot praise this place more! The setting is stunning. The staff go above and beyond to ensure that you are having your best possible experience and the food is amazing! We did dog sledding, snow mobiling, ice fishing and the Sami/Reindeer experience and loved all of them. In between activities the children spent all their time toboggoning next to the lodge. They had their best holiday ever. We all did. We were even lucky enough to see the northern lights. Thank you to all the team. We hope to come back!
