Want to experience a genuine Arctic adventure? Our "Nordic Winter Skills" tour is your key to unlocking the secrets to surviving and thriving in the breathtaking wilderness of Swedish Lapland.

This isn’t just a tour; it’s a hands-on, three-hour masterclass in Arctic life, filled with unforgettable moments. Imagine strapping on your snowshoes and venturing deep into the snow-covered forests around Brändön Lodge, with expert guides leading the way. You’ll learn essential skills that have sustained life here for centuries: how to build a crackling fire in the snow and brew fresh tea and coffee over the open flames.

But the experience goes far beyond just skills. It's a journey into the heart and soul of the Arctic. Your guide will share captivating stories of their life in this extraordinary environment, while you discover the hidden wonders of the forest, the frozen sea and the incredible wildlife of Sweden's northernmost region.

The highlight? A truly authentic wilderness lunch. You gather in a traditional Sami hut, a cozy refuge from the cold, and help prepare a delicious outdoor meal together. Imagine this: you relax on soft reindeer skins, surrounded by the warmth of a crackling fire, while you enjoy your food and share stories.

This is the perfect moment to relax, bond, and truly appreciate the unique beauty of this special environment.

And we've made it easy for you to join this incredible journey. For those staying in Luleå, a convenient, optional transfer is available for the 10:00 AM tour, taking you from your hotel and back again, giving you plenty of time to explore Brändön Lodge's frozen sea promenade, rent snowshoes or cross-country skis, or maybe even meet and feed the reindeer.

We just arrived home from another fabulous stay with Brandon Lodge. They took care of arranging all of the activities so makes the stay very easy. They provide a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere and made to feel at home. Cabins cater for all you need and are very warm! The food is outstanding and you couldn’t fault any of the staff - everyone from our airport transfer to the management and guides all are friendly and knowledgable and nothing is too much trouble.

All outer-wear cold weather clothing is provided too!

Friendly staff, good food, clean cabin, and activities to pick from. We stayed at one of the self-serve cabins. There were two rooms, 4 beds total, a restroom with shower (soaps provided) and hairdryer, a small living area where we could play cards, a kitchenette with dorm size fridge, microwave, a cupboard of glasses and dishes, and a sink. At the lodge we had breakfasts and dinners, all of which were freshly and expertly made by the nicest staff. We took advantage of a couple of activities and were treated like old friends every step of the way.

We have recently returned from an incredible five days staying at Brandon Lodge with our 9 year old twins. I cannot praise this place more! The setting is stunning. The staff go above and beyond to ensure that you are having your best possible experience and the food is amazing! We did dog sledding, snow mobiling, ice fishing and the Sami/Reindeer experience and loved all of them. In between activities the children spent all their time toboggoning next to the lodge. They had their best holiday ever. We all did. We were even lucky enough to see the northern lights. Thank you to all the team. We hope to come back!
