Dogsledding – 1 hour sit on sled

Dogsledding is an amazing winter activity and at Brändön Lodge we have one hour tours departing from the Lodge on Saturdays and Sundays.

After introductions, a safety briefing and information on the journey ahead, you and up to 3 other people will sit on a sled while your guide will mush the husky team and drive them along a forest and lake trail. Along the way you will be able to enjoy the scenery and thrill of the husky team. On stops the guide will inform you about the life of a husky musher in the frozen north, the dogs as well as the fantastic arctic nature all around us.

This dog-sledding experience is approximately 1 hour in total and it is sure to leave you with some fantastic memories.

Optional transfer from and back to Luleå is available. The half hour transfer departs Luleå at approx 0900 and returns to Luleå at approx 1500 daily. While at Brändön, before and/or after your dogsled tour you have the option to explore the walking tracks on the frozen sea, buy lunch at the log cabin restaurant and/or hire snow shoes or cross country forest skis or perhaps even meet and feed the reindeer.
